Since our establishment, ACECO has been dedicated to developing a variety of superior- quality equipment for RF communication applications. We are now pleased with our product range includes two Handheld Radio Frequency Counter series and one Handheld RF Finder series. We presented WiMo for the first time at the 'Ham Radio 1982' exhibition in Friedrichshafen on a 3x3m booth. At this time we offered a collection of handheld antennas, an HF millivoltmeter developed and manufactured by WiMo as well as a graphical add-on card for the popular BASIC computer TRS-80.
In 1982 we moved from Blaustein/Ulm to the vicinity of Karlsruhe. The activities took place in a barn and the storage was located in a former pig stable...
In 1985 we moved to Herxheim into a house with a basement of 100 square meters. The electrical saw, however, had to placed into the twin garage due to limited space available...
As the company continued to grow and the neighbors weren't too happy about the noise we moved to a rented warehouse in 1992; the warehouse had some 300 sqm and was located in the industrial area of Herxheim. It happened during this period when we bought companies like ANDES, HOFMEISTER and finally, took over the antenna production of SHF-design from Berlin. This was actually an ideal complement for our business.

Parallel to the antennas and accessories we began to produce client-specific electronic products; e.g in 1992 we produced 300 units over the year of electronic boards and displays (from the beginning to completion ) for a manufacturer of high-end recreational vehicles (RV's).

As you may imagine for the production of antennas a lot of aluminum is needed...

| Finally, in 1995 we moved into our new warehouse on the corner side of the industrial area in Herxheim with now 700 square meters of space available. However, due to the rapid growth of our company the warehouse was too small a short time later. An extension was added and now we have more than 1000 sqm (10,000 sq.ft.) of warehouse, office spaces, production and show rooms... |
